Dead Locking

Hi

The central deadlocking on my 1997 2.3 galaxy has stopped working. when I locked the driver's door with the key and held it turned all the doors used to dead lock and the door LED would start flashing until the car was unlocked again. two weeks ago it just stopped doing it. The central locking works fine, but no deadlocking or flashing LED (The LED does the usual flashes and illuminations for its other functions)

Any experience of this problem and a solution would be greatted with joy and elation (unless its a spend hundreds of pound one)

how do you know the dead locking isnt working? have you tried opening the doors from inside?

do the doors lock at all from the drivers door?

if not check the wires in the rubber boot in front door,common problem,also as out learned friend has already suggested.

I can open the doors from inside when locked with no problem, and all doors lock and unlock from the drivers door.
